A two-day, in-person session with library and literacy leaders with the goal of discussing current research and trends about reading and identifying field priorities for new IMLS investment’s in literacy research.
Emily facilitated the IMLS launch of a series of in-person workshops and virtual presentations for library staff and literacy experts to share research and foster conversations around literacy. The effort led the agency to prioritize investments in future literacy research and to develop its first Learning Agenda.

IMLS continued the important conversation it began at its March 2021 convening to help move the suggested strategies that came out of the convening forward into real policies, programs, or practice.

A presentation to help libraries better understand their data and feel confident communicating their impact back to their communities.
Emily was hired by the Public Library Association to develop and implement a national outcome measurement initiative for public libraries. The first of its kind, this effort inspired libraries of all types to collect meaningful and actionable data for change and growth.
Museum in Leadership Convening Summative Report

CMAP’s Energy Impact Illinois Funding

Emily was hired by CMAP to implement portions of $25 million American Recovery and Reinvestment (ARRA) grant from the Department of Energy. Emily's portfolio included promoting residential and large commercial energy efficiency measures across the Chicagoland region.
